I’ve been quiet the past few days and part of the reason is that I’ve been making all of those time-consuming motions of purchasing a “new” used car from a private party. It’s been a while since I’ve played this game: interest rates, title transfers, mechanical check-ups.
But here she blows. This is a 2000 Audi TT coupe that was owned by a (lightly put) doting owner. RH Ronal wheels, custom everything (exhaust, suspension, front grill) and a hell of a stereo (this car, it has the boom).
Unlike Gray’s car, it doesn’t talk, but hot damn it’s fast–and yeah, it’s been chipped.
Because everyone is going to ask: no, it’s not Quattro. Deal with it. We have an A4 already; this puppy is not going off road, or even up to the mountain to ski.
