The Perfect Thing Will Never Happen

I’m sitting in the back of a room full of laptop Macintosh computers and sundry Web developer types (most of whom believe they might just be about to discover the Web before realizing again that the Web has been around for a long time). The topic at the moment is how much drama IE6 has caused the poor Web developer world. OK. So I’m at a Web conference (Web Visions 2006, specifically).
But the thing is, I’ve been spinning my Web wheels for nigh on two years now. Sure, I was a bit numbed when I was working for a Large Corporation, and, true, I spend enough of the part of my life they pay me for dealing with the Web, but I’m out of time-buying excuses.
Even if it’s this stupid blogger blog for now, it has to be something. My vision for the perfect Web site for myself–someone who would likely demand that it serve as a personal killer app–is an ever-creeping morass. Even if all I get out there for now are murmors, those are louder than my useless silence.

Ironically, the FireFox Ad hangs then crashes my FireFox browser. I look forward to your personal killer web app! (and the in-house tech supp when I want to use it for my own space ;))
