Putting my Money where my Mouth is

September 25, 2008

I’m going to try to make buying the camera a real goal. That means being fiscally creative and making some sacrifices.

I still have a first-generation iPhone. I’m going to sell it. Even if I have to–gulp–do it on eBay. Let me know if you want to buy it from me before I list it.

I’m going to go on a spending moratorium. That means culling my problem with books and (good) booze (i.e. wine), which tend to suck dry a lot of my discretionary income. Canceling the last few of my optional subscription-based services. Trying to put off most of the larger letterpress expenses.

I do need a haircut and I do need some warm clothes for the winter. And I won’t skimp on gifts I buy for other people.

I am going to make those committments. And then I’m going to see what I have saved up when they release the camera. Wish me luck and suggest anything else you can think of!

  1. Heck yah! I’m wishing you luck. I can’t wait to see what you can do with digital once you get a good one. :)
