Conductive Surfaces

February 8, 2007

I spend a lot of my outdoor time in gloves. Great for the cold, not so good if you want to use the scroll wheel on your iPod. Usually my number one scroll wheel need is volume control (as I can skip songs and go back by clicking), but the problem is: with gloves on, I’m not conductive, so the scroll wheel doesn’t work.

Last night I figured out a way to get around this problem. Except it’s weird.

I find it quite easy to control the volume of my iPod–with my tongue. Screwball, unsanitary–but effective.

I like my iPod, but I don’t like it THAT much!

Have you tried using your nose? Less slobber on your iPod and less crap in your mouth?
