From BBC:
‘Speaking in Germany, the Pope quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor who said the Prophet Muhammad had brought the world only “evil and inhuman” things.’
…
‘However, the Vatican said the Pope had wanted to make clear that he rejected violence motivated by religion.’
They also got a real insightful quote from some Scouser:
“I think the Pope’s comments weren’t anti-Islamic, they were used to prove a point.” –Chris, Liverpool
I’m commenting on everything, have insomnia, I guess.
I wish I were head of a global empire based on delusional fantasy so that when they put a microphone in front of my grill the whole world would hang on my every mindless utterance. e.g. “Hey, did you hear? That guy on the corner, the one who says cats are secretly running the government? Yeah, that guy, he says that Muslims are bad.”
I can’t believe he would say something stupid, what with his lofty position in fantasy land.
